Good morning.

I'm looking for help in the following:

I have this 17 "Asus, which happens to turn itself off, after installing an SSD disk and now, in addition to not connecting anything, when I turn on the AC power nothing happens, except the current controller chip overheating (attached photo) I already tried it on another similar board and the same happened!
I am not a computer technician, but I would like to know what the problem is and if it is worth fixing.

Something Short In your Motherboard. First Check All Pcoils With Multimeter And Find The Short One. Then Put Some Voltage On The Coil Like 1.2v Or More. Its Depends On Which Motherboard Section Coil Is Short. When You Put Voltage On The Short Coil The Faulty Component Will Heat Up. If You Have Dc Power Supply And Little Information About Pcb You Will Fix This Issue.
